Adapted Curry Tahini

Adaptogen Curry Lemon Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup tahini
  • ½ tsp. Vitalfit Nutrition Adapted 
  • 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • ¼ tsp. EACH: turmeric, ginger, pink sea salt
  • ½ heaping tsp. curry powder
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ¾ cup of water depending on desired consistency
  • Optional: 1-2 tbsp. honey or 1-2 dates for sweeter taste.

 

Directions

  1. Add everything into your food processor except for the water and the sweetener (if using)
  2. Blend until well incorporated. It will be a thick paste at this point. You can either leave it this way and use it to spread on toast etc. or start to add in small amounts of water to desired consistency.
  3. To thin out the spread/sauce; add water.
  4. Blend until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Taste test and add in sweetener of choice if using or increase the spices!
  6. Store in an air tight container for up to week in fridge.

How to Use

The sauce is perfect for grain bowls, over salads, or spread over toast w/ avocado and eggs.

It is full of anti-inflammatory and healing spices (turmeric, ginger, curry) – that can all help improve muscle aches/pains, soothe your digestive system, help with boosting your mood & paired with Adapted it makes the perfect combo; which can help with your mental focus, improving your digestive system as well, and help with reducing your cortisol levels.

This sauce would be perfect after working out (you could even add in some of their Planted protein powder), over morning toast or meal to help calm your body down, while giving you a boost of antioxidants and mental clarity for the rest of the day!

It is on the savory side, but you can definitely add in any sweetener of choice!
